Like an oasis within the city centre. Very friendly and professional staff.

The location does require a 20 min walk to the centre, when the pool and outdoor facilities are open, as it would offset the distance, however, with the outdoor facilities closed, if known, I would have chosen to stay closer to the centre. The breakfast was great but we only took one day as we walked to meet friends on the other days. The choice on offer was good and the service was excellent.

we were disappointed to be housed in the Villa. rather than the main hotel, particularly because breakfast is an altogether more pleasant experience on the other side!

Amazing hotel ! Luxury at its best ! Stunning old palace with frescoes everywhere even in the suites. One of the most impressive hotels we've ever been to.

A friendly helpful staff who make you feel welcome and who want everything to be perfect and seamless, a gorgeous palace and gardens including the most wonderful pool. Staff are so patient and polite that they will allow you to practice your Italian with them. If anything is the tiniest bit off, they quickly make everything right and offer thoughtful solutions, one example showing us an Italian way of taking coffee - ordering double espresso with hot water and hot milk in the morning so you can lengthen the drink. Just a small example but just to show how they are always observing and trying to enhance your stay. Everything about our room was outstandingly comfortable. The pool is the perfect temperature - the overflow on the sides provides a constant sound of flowing water like a cascade or fountain. Everything is highly aesthetic and beautifully maintained with attentive friendly staff always bringing little refreshments like water, homemade popsicles and frozen cappuccino. At poolside you can shower off quickly under warm water while viewing the gorgeous old trees in the extensive gardens. One small comment: the music in the garden during dinner is a bit loud and not so relaxing. The walk into town center was very easy and it is close to all main sights - 10-15 minutes.
